Note from Michiko: "Even though I have made many improvements and added new games since 1992, the concepts in this book are still valuable and I continue to use many of the games. Interested teachers and parents can continue to use this book until I finish a revision. However, due to work on the new materials and this website, that project has been delayed. The easiest way to learn about new games and concepts is to attend a teacher training workshop, observe student classes at workshops, watch the videos on this website, play the new games and materials included in the Puppy Packet."

As a teacher of music

As a teacher of music students in grades 3-6, I have found this book to be extremely helpful. The games are designed to help students learn to read, write, dictate music, etc. The "Blue Jello" game and its variations alone are worth the price of the book. Although this is not a band or orchestra method book, students who spend time playing these games will certainly be more prepared when they begin to learn more advanced instruments.
